Diane Naugler

Diane Naugler is new to print-making. A life-long sketcher and doodler, Diane took up print-making when they retired from a career in higher eduction in January 2025.

Diane is inspired by everyday scenes, by nature, line and texture. They explore these through a growing practice of printmaking including linocut and drypoint methods. Diane enjoys how printmaking involves sustained engagement with a subject and how an image changes and emerges from the dynamic movement from observation to sketch to carving to print iterations.

Diane’s last exhibition was in Rothesay, NB in 1978. Their Star Wars-themed bicycle safety poster placed first the exhibition competition winning Diane a new ten-speed bicycle.
